About Us

Abbotsford Christ the King Community Church was planted and pioneered by Pastor Justin and Kim Manzey who have now begun a new venture under Latitude Ministries, and has now passed the "Keys" over to Pastor Bob Wong and wife, Josephine Wong.

The church was planted with five people in the living room of Justin and Kim Manzey’s home in 2003. The group of five started praying and preparing. They launched their first public service with 12 people at ABC Convention center in July of 2003. Soon after connecting with North County Christ the King Community Church, Pastor Kim Ryan and Pastor Justin shared their vision for planting churches in Abbotsford, BC and throughout Canada. NCCtK began to stand behind ACtK with financial support, relational support and moral support. On November 9th, 2003, Abbotsford Christ the King Community Church was officially birthed.

Our journey has been an interesting one, full of God’s faithfulness and blessing at every corner. We became a church on the move. After ABC Conference Centre, we moved locations to King’s Crossing to accommodate the growing congregation. After being there a period of time, the building burned down and we were forced to find a new location. The amazing thing is that the only room where the sprinklers did not go off is where we had our equipment stored. No fire touched that room and there was no water damage, so we were able to retrieve all of our equipment. From there, we were at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, and at times the facility had been double-booked and again we had to look for another facility to accommodate us, which was the Ramada Inn by Whatcom Exit. Even though we were on the move, more and more people were finding out about Abbotsford Christ the King and we were steadily growing. We are now absolutely blessed to be at our current location on West Railway Street. Through faith and God’s urging, we felt to make steps to purchase the building and God miraculously provided every step of the way.
